Dell is making a valiant attempt to make PC recycling break even, by using prisoners for cheap labour. MS rears its ugly head on this issue as well, with evil licensing strategies making second-hand/recycled PCs even less financially viable (to say nothing of OS bloat outstripping old hardware's capability). But points to Dell for what they're doing.
