Why Mobile Phones are Annoying (Jakob Nielsen's Alertbox). This article really just poses the question and gives a small amount of data. Basically the situation is that mobiles aren't going anywhere and there's no way to avoid hearing one side of the conversation. But then, Jakob and "just deal with it" don't seem to go together very well :)
