Slashdot | US Navy to Deploy Rail Guns by 2011. New motto for US Navy: "pWNed, n00bs!". If this is true it points towards a new generation of weaponry - entering the science fiction realm. Personally I'm just not convinced humanity needs anything bigger than a spud gun. Certainly we should be looking to a future where nobody needs to aim any of that shit at each other.
