mac doublethink
Apple - Power Mac G5 - Performance: The PowerPC G5 out-shoots the Pentium 4 in a battery of tests. But it?s in the rough-and-tumble of real-world performance that the G5 really shines ? shredding the PC?s reputation in the process.
...but wait, over in the news section: Apple to Use Intel Microprocessors Beginning in 2006.
So... is Mac saying their claims were bullshit? :) You wouldn't switch to a new processor if you didn't think you were going to get better performance. I guess they'll talk it up according to 'future development' reasons, but it's interesting to see an Apple release where they're all smiles and pals with Intel, Microsoft and Adobe (the other Microsoft....).
