The best reason to get into mediacasts (podcasts)... stuff like triple j podcasts. I don't have a radio at work so i miss stuff like Dr Karl and I often miss Hack in the afternoon as well (or I'm not up to it while fighting traffic). Now I'm itching for an iPod (possibly with an iTrip) so I can listen to the radio when I want.
